Banyana Ba Style tells the story of women's football in South Africa through the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies. But what did it TRULY take to get there?

In 2021, the Sundowns Ladies went into the first CAF Women's Champions League in Cairo unbeaten for two years and expected to win. The film follows their fight to become the first champions of African club football, and what that fight asks of them. It covers equality inside a modern club, the weight of family and responsibility, and a team playing for the generation that comes next.

It is told through goalkeeper Andile Dlamini, midfielder Nonhlanhla Mthandi, coach Jerry Tshabalala and club chairman Tlhopie Motsepe.

Fell + Company produced the entire project, from initial concept to final delivery. Development, production, edit and finishing in Cape Town. Roc Nation Sports International licensed the film to Netflix, which released it globally on 22 November 2023.

Official Selection, BrandStorytelling 2024, Park City, Utah, held alongside the Sundance Film Festival. It was the first selection in the event's history to secure major streaming distribution.
