The Ask
Our partnership with the Gary Kirsten Foundation began in early 2019 as we embarked on our first Fell + Co original content offering, a documentary feature film entitled Privilege. In conjunction with the foundation and with the blessing of Gary Kirsten - we commenced production on a feature documentary that would utilize Gary Kirsten's remarkable life story as a backbone to a wider story about privilege in modern South Africa.
The EXECUTION
Production commenced in the first half of the year with a major portion of the filming centering around the foundation's tour to the UK in June with a team of under 13 boys from Khayelitsha, a township outside of Cape Town. This journey of lifetime unpacked an even wider story that remains in production.
